For children and infants: Almost every meal idea I’ve listed, I have prepared for my 11-year-old niece who loves fast food. She has spent some summer vacations with me and enjoys the meals we prepare together. She takes notes then goes home and educates her mother on these simple and tasty ideas.

For infants, instead of buying baby food, prepare your own from scratch. For vegetables, you could lightly steam, then blend or put into a food processor to puree. For fruit dishes, you could blend or puree in a food processor with a healthy milk alternative. The fruit can also be lightly steamed, but the less cooking the healthier.

Preparing your own baby food is simple and a much healthier choice for your baby. Don’t forget to use fresh organic produce, and don’t be afraid to experiment with your own ideas or combinations.

Making your own baby’s food will insure it is organic, not processed, loaded with nutrients, and lots of love. This is also a great way to get your child’s taste buds accustomed to natural foods verses processed packaged fast foods. Besides, a healthy diet and lifestyle will help in growing and learning, and their immune system will be stronger naturally.
